A Chat with Accepted Art's Founder

Happy New year to all members new and old of Accepted-Art! I hope to get things going this year with contests and raffles by having excellent ideas from all members.
Always Remember the following

I am ALWAYS accepting new ideas for activities or contests for the group!

This is a community of artists that have come together to grow and improve their art together. Dont be afraid to be heard!

If you have a concern or complaint, you can always note me. However it may take awhile to get to since you know, Life.

What can Members of Accepted Art expect to see this coming month and/or year?

A few changes are expected to happen to Accepted Art. The changes, however little, will take time to fully implement. Here are the main changes members can expect:
A fund for Accepted Art
Changes to our staff
Changes in our rules

What do these things mean for us (members of Accepted-Art)?

We are a group that has primarily started off as an Acceptance group. Meaning that art would be accepted and that would be all. However, after Accepted Art's creation, the foundation of our group has grown into A group that focuses on community and submitting the very best art you have created. I hope it continues to grow even further down the road. The Members are a testament to what kind of group we are. An Amazing one right?

These changes in no way impede on what the core foundation of Accepted Art is. If anything, these changes are just add-ons to the group. The reasons for these changes, and if any more should come, are that I have been observing how this group works without my interaction. I have also been looking at other groups whenever they have some sort of activity occurring. It came down to the bottom line that some kind of motivation is needed in order to get people to join activities.

Points, Features, Art are what I have seen as prizes for these contests. To reward points, I need to have points and that is why I am opening a fund that would benefit us in that way. In conclusion, I will be creating and operating a business side for Accepted Art to generate points for our contests by using the donation pool on my page as the Accepted Art's fund.

Staff Changes As our group gets bigger, the work load will become hefty. Meaning I'll have to start looking for staff to help manage the group, However, this will not happen as of right now because our group is still growing into the bigger numbers. This change may happen this year or next year. It depends on the rate our group grows. but as it is right now, I am managing it just fine.

Rule Changes As we grow, there will be more art and more folders added. Meaning that there will need to be a re-evaluation on the group rules as they stand. The core rules of our group WILL NOT change. Rules will be added or taken away to keep the group in an orderly manner. I will send out a notice to all members to overview the rules when they have happened on a grand scale.

Q & A of the changes

Q: How can we trust you won't spend my points if we donate?

A: I want to say that you can trust me and all that other noble traits. However, I will ask every member to look over that fund. It is your points and putting complete trust in someone to make sure it won't be spent on anything is a long shot. While I'm a reliable and trustworthy person, others may not be. As your founder, I have no reason to use points for anything other than contests. However if someone other than me holds a contest and has possession of the account funds. I urge you all to take note of the amount. Keep the groups points safe, that is something that All members of Accepted Art are accountable for.

Q: I used to get featured for free, so what does this mean exactly?

A: Of course I wish to go more in depth, however, this is not the correct journal to have this conversation. When everything is squared away, I will make a journal that goes further in detail about what this means.

Q: So I can become a staff member?

A: Please re-read the part that has bolded "Staff Changes". Other than that I will make a journal when the time comes.

Q: So about changing the submission limit..

A: Ah yes, I have asked this question before but I got a no for now. Seeing as we are a group that is aimed to show our very best, this is the best choice for now. Someone told me that it would defeat the purpose of showing our very best if we are able to submit all our works.

Q: What kind of rules are you thinking about changing?

A: That I don't know for sure, all I know is that I will be tweaking the group rules every now and then like I have been doing.

Q: What if I don't read over this?

A: I am doing this for the betterment of Accepted Art. So if these changes are well under way and you express your dislike later down the road, I'm sorry but they will not have an effect on what is going to happen. I took your silence as your consent and approval for the changes being made. There are a few exceptions to this, however I will make it only known to the members that fit those qualifications.
